Then it was time to check out the situation at the exit trailhead, Deer Camp Trailhead, some 12 miles north along Wawona road. Despite what the park info said, there are a few bear lockers. Moreover it seems ok to camp there for tonight. That would have the additional advantage that I can avoid to drive there in the morning.
